February in Anacortes

Hi all,

In case you didn't know, I'm in Anacortes for the month of February. Still working nearly full time (remotely) however at least I'm near (or on) the boat so that I can chip away on the project. The focus this month is fitting the newly NC-machined hull insert that goes above the rudder and will incorporate the new rudder bearing, etc.

There's an enormous amount of sanding, cutting and prep to do, to facilitate the integration of the foam/carbon insert into the kauri wood hull. However the insert now fits where it needs to go, and I'm currently working on the interior prep.

I'm still figuring out how to load images/etc. to this site, I'm a slow learner but web ace Wilder Nicholson will be getting me up to speed eventually!

Big thanks to those helping the hull/rudder project:

Neil Racicot (of Wakespeed in his day job) who has contributed the 3D modeling/shaping.

The Team at James Betts Enterprises, including NC machining ace Steve Kaestner, Will Porter, and Jim Betts himself, who are all helping me out.

If you're in the area and want to have a look, drop me a note.
